So BADASS…

 

With my old man kitty, Jefferson still perched on my head as I lay in bed, the above inspiration began to blow through.  I grabbed my laptop and headed into the living area where I plopped onto my yoga mat lying on the floor.  The night sky engulfed me in this room with ceiling to floor windows high above the city.  Jefferson followed me, my fearless companion who showers me with big love and goes with me on my grand adventures that come in the middle of the night, in the midst of my day.  Unplanned, unforeseen, ever-surprising and deliciously inviting, I follow the flow of life and this liberation from containment, from fixed ideas of how life should be excites me and fills me with a sense of awe, sheer joy and makes my eyes well with tears of gratitude. 

Wherever we are willing to travel throughout our days and our nights, life will meet us there more gloriously than we can ever imagine; and this grows and grows and grows as long as we live in the open, allowing the more to come, to awaken us, to enliven us.  Avoiding the night sky, sleep walking through the light of day, repressing the energies, denying the inner call, neglecting to care for our souls that don’t fit neatly into the conventional life will kill us while breath still pulses through our bodies.  I understand fully that we all have things to do, obligations to meet, bills to pay but this is not an either or way of being.  It is including our heart’s deepest desires, allowing them to speak, to have a say in how we LIVE in the conventional world.  If we want to come alive more and more, we must listen, we must free our Self to play, to dance and to sing in ways that shock the hell out of us in the most magnificent ways.  A liberating life is so badass!

The invitation this day is to sit with the night sky, the worlds within ready to sing and listen to the beauty, the truth, the dreams whose time it is to express, to manifest in this world.  Daring to honor the inner call does not require courage, it simply requires a choice:  to come ALIVE! welcoming the magic, the abounding joy, the abundance spiraling through every moment of our life.  Feel your way!  Experience your life by being present to it and let the truth of how you are feeling NOW inform your choices for what’s next?  What you want to create now?  There is MORE!  There is always MORE!  The greatest legacy you give your children, your children’s children, your family, this world is living a life you absolutely LOVE that leaves you clutching your heart as you say:  THANK YOU! all day long come what may.
