Over the last couple of weeks, the song Brave by Sara Bareilles has been a topic of conversation over and over.  People have shared in emails and notes that this song reminds them of me when they hear it; and I must say that I am touched that a song titled Brave which is an anthem stirring us all, inviting us all to stand up for our lives brings me to the minds of others.  While I see my Self as Brave, I also see how Brave we all are making our way in the world, ever-growing and evolving – being stretched, facing what we would never wish for, pulling the curtains back each morning and meeting the day with all of us and finding our way to love – loving our Self, loving our life enough to make choices that free us to come alive more and more.   All moments are grace-filled; but when we step out of our fears that create chaos, drama and bring the crazy full force stripping our lives of the joy and happiness, we soar bravely into new depths of who we truly are.  And this never stops as we live this grand adventure discovering our Self, meeting our Self again and again.

We are collectively in such a time of liberation from our old lives that no longer fit who we are now that leave us starved for the more we hunger for which is both exciting and scary as hell.  Holding both is essential.  Acknowledging all we are feeling and being present to all that bubbles up with complete acceptance and understanding (no judgment!) is the key to navigating the unknown.  There are things in life we plan and there is the unexpected life that comes, our soul journey awakens and we step into the heroes we are – the heroes we have always been.  It is time to answer the call to tap into the infinite well within, to be Brave to grab our fears by the hand and jump off the cliff and leap into the net of the new life whose time has come to be lived.

Oh my goshhhhhhhh!  You are so BRAVE.  You are.  Look at the whole of your life up to this point.  Everything has led you right here to this moment.  Wow!  The invitation this day is to continue to be brave in allowing your Self to come out and play in ways that surprise and delight you.  Tune in to the power that lies within you that has carried you every day through the various challenges and tragedies.  Life has handed you your ass, taken you to your knees and here you are ALIVE! and kickin.  Stand in victory! Claim your Brave Heart – pulsing the power of love through you – fierce, raw, fiery, wild, untamable, limitless, the purest energy which is the soul force of the Universe taking you on the grandest adventure into your Self, into more life ready to be experienced.  And remind your Self all day long:  I am BRAVE…I am BRAVE…I am sooooo damn BRAVE!
