One minute the announcers were singing the praises of Colts quarterback, Andrew Luck calling him the best young QB in the NFL.  The next minute they doubted him questioning what they had just said based on the less than stellar performance against the Chiefs in the first half of the Wild Card Playoffs.  Along with physically conditioning him Self, Luck must prepare him Self mentally, emotionally and spiritually.  Tending to all aspects of him Self, he prepares the vessel he is and shows up to play the game come what may.  There were moments of greatness and moments of not so greatness that I refer to as a mess – so hard to watch going from bad to worst.  But through all of it, Luck leading his team was courage in motion, daring to live it all for the love of the game.  In the end, the score read Colts 45, Chiefs 44.  But the truest victory was in never giving up – understanding it ain’t over ‘til it’s over – playing their hearts OUT – leaving it all on the field!  And showing us the power of love which can truly part the seas and move the mountains.

Cajillion dollar contracts aside, I do believe that most players in the NFL play for the love of the game for it is the energy of love that we see as passion pours poetically through them throwing, catching, blocking, tackling, leaping, doing what they have never done before, pushing limits and doing what others say is impossible.  So freakin’ cool!  We love sports because the athletes embody the potential that lies within each of us mirroring how we come alive more and more when we feed our hunger for living and overcome the fears that threaten to take us out.    

It matters not what we do whether we are stay at home moms, executives, carpenters, doctors or pro athletes, what matters is our love in doing what we do.  Tuning into the joy that springs from doing what we do in the living of this wondrous life, we discover the perfection in all that we get to experience each day.  Everything, every day made beautiful through the transformative power of love.  We have it ALL through loving it ALL!  I understand that there are things we do out of necessity that we would rather not but to know that we are alive and kicking and still in the game of life we can love even the crapola.  To return to the Truth that life is absolutely amazing even on our suckiest days, we let go of the conditions that block the flow of life that is this love ever-springing, this miraculous force that we are and all is. 

The invitation this day is to LIVE for the LOVE of (living) it!  Set this intention.  Declare it.  Say it out loud.  Watch your energy shift upward to gears you didn’t know you had igniting the passion that lies within you. Living for the love of it makes every day perfect exactly as it is – fully present to the unfolding – and awakens us to the magic each day brings so glorious and awesome it makes me weep in gratitude for my life, for all life.  Living for the LOVE of it is a game changer!  And it ain’t over ‘til it’s over.  Start now, step into this moment knowing today is the first day of the rest of your life.  Love bigger than you knew was possible!
